the cook(book)ing school: my urbanspoon reviews – 9 Tables

So periodically, I like to review local restaurants on http://www.urbanspoon.com

Here is my latest review of 9 Tables, a unique restaurant in Athens, Ohio

I love, love, love this restaurant! It’s perfect for a mid size group or for an

intimate dinner with a date or small group of friends who need time to catch up with one another!  It’s a very unique experience, no rush to get up and make room for new patrons because, guess what? You are the only patrons for the evening. And the food is super fresh, literally, local farms are dropping off food every morning! I had the salad with goat cheese, Filet Mignon, and the creamiest cheesecake this side of a cow! I’m normally not a cheesecake fan, but this was absolutely the best cheesecake I have ever tasted. And the staff, Chef Bill, wife, and mother-in-law, are all very hospitable. Not to mention the artwork and the jazz theme! I can’t say enough about this place.  Thank you for a fabulous dinner. 9 Tables definitely needs to be featured on Food Network, CNN, and The Cooking Channel! Where’s Anthony Bourdain when you need him? If you are ever in Athens, anyone, make sure you give 9 Tables a call before your trip and reserve your space. It will be worth it.
